I didn't suggest raising taxes. As I demonstrated, initially, we're talking about trivial amounts of money. And yes, I mentioned 10 to 100, but I didn't suggest that we change this over night. Though it should be a goal to reach.

You don't know that you'll have 4 Democratic Senators. Opening up more seats will mean more views are represented, not just the majority. If the election was held so that everyone voted for one person, and the the top 4 candidates got the 4 senate seats, in a populatoin where only 75% of the population votes Democratic, that would mean it would be very difficult for the majority who makes up 75% of the public to gain 100% of the representation in washington. So for example, if your area is 75% Democratice, you'll most likely end up with 3 left wingers and 1 right winger.

The basic form of the idea is that you will be represented, but if you are not in the majority, you will not be represented as the majority, and if you are the majority, you will not be represented as the entireity.
