So the posting program (external) absolutely **must** purge the records???... You are confident that it doesn't have some other option available (like maybe deleting the 'posted' records)?

If I understand correctly...

1) The posting program is up and running all day long.

2) Your program opens/closes the table in question for each entry done.

What do you mean by "all the workstations would have to be synchronized" - what ALL are you talking about (you say earlier "...the employee...". Do you mean 'each employee' and there are many?

How does the posting program know that there is data there for it to process?
