That's weird. I guess the set printer on clause brings up the send fax wizard. Try maybe to edit the report and the fax printer in the page setup. Then run the following:

set printer to name "Fax"
report form einar noconsole to file test
rename "test.txt" to "tist.tif"

Tell me if it doesn't work
