That's weird. I guess the set printer on clause brings up the send fax wizard. Try maybe to edit the report and SET the fax printer in the page setup of the report. Then run the following:

set printer to name "Fax"
report form einar noconsole to file test
rename "test.txt" to "test.tif"

Tell me if it doesn't work
