I did try replacing the wait window with a DOEVENTS but the crash still occurred.
The "Server too busy" error is what Fox is reporting
after the Word exception. I suspect that you may be right and this is only happening in my development environment as no one has reported it as a problem, but that doesn't mean it not happening to them you know what users are like :-).
I'll try reinstalling Word on my machine and see is that solves it.
