MSDN is an MS product like anything else. Resellers sell it. I asked at CompUSA about it and looked over the guys shoulder when he looked it up. I think their cost was 1200-1400. I forget exactly. So it can be sold at a discount. But 800 does sound awfully cheap.

However, the best deal does appear to be through Victor Campos' guy. I just bought it through him. You pay using Paypal and your order is placed with MS. So I'm not worried about the state of the product. Even if I was worried about money, paying the extra $300 for piece of mind is well worth it.
