Hope you won't mind me chiming in but I didn't see anyone mentioning that the cost of the subscription has a lot to do with the level you buy -Microsoft itself sells the "Professional" version (as an upgrade for any Visual Tool-including VFP) for the $800 range, but if you want a higher level (Enterprise or Universal) you can pay a lot more.
Also of interest is that there is a 110.00 rebate if you buy the DVD version. You get the key, register and then get your initial load of disks and a rebate coupon. Also of interest is that the information that was sent to me gave the wrong address to register on line. Wasn't hard to find it on the MSDN site, but you'd think they could get that right.
