>I have a problem with a installation of NT 4.0 and SP6a. The drives do not have their default shares (i.e. C$ and D$). When you right click on the drives or any subfolders, the Sharing... menu option is not available nore is it in the properties page. The drive is formatted with NTFS.

The admin shares are present but hidden; only administrative accounts have rights to them, and they must be explicitly used; since any sharename that ends in a "$" is hidden, only NET USE, the Wscript.Network object, and API calls, can access these shares - they are invisible to explorer.
