NT 4.0 default shares do not exist

Unfortunately, that's not the answer to my problem. :( Hopefully I can explain it a little better this time.

I am logged in as local or domain administrator (full rights) and the shares are not present as on all other NT4 machines in my network (125+ machines). On the other machines, when logged in as administrator, the drives have a little "hand" icon indicating that the drive is shared. When you right click on these drives, there is a menu item named "Sharing.... " where you can set permissions and share name.

This one machine will not allow me, as the administrator, to share the drives. Typically the drives should automatically be shared after an NT installation. Is there some registry entry that can disable sharing completely or is something on this machine just totally messed up?

Any further help will be greatly appreciated!
