Yea, sorry, see my reply to Bob on that.

>I'm just concerned that there may be more mythology than substantive fact being bantered around about formsets and their capabilities and "limitations".

Not on my part, I don't feel compelled to use them. The application form handler I'm using gives me all the flexibility and functionality I need without them.

What were the advantages again to using Formsets?

>New VFP developers read this stuff and assume that formsets are bad, when in fact, having tried both approaches, I feel they are superior and allow me to use VFP a manner in which it was intended.

I've also tried both and I also feel like I'm using VFP in a manner in which it was intended without formsets. :-)

>I certainly don't feel, as stated in one reply, that formsets were only included for backward compatibility with screens sets in previons verions and would not evolve. That is, or should be, nonsense.

Yea, that might be going to far, but they are the vehicle for porting 2.6 screensets to VFP via the conversion wizard. I also don't know that I'm saying that using them is BAD. I'm not understanding the compelling reasons to use them.
