Hi,

I've got a (not really small) project that I compile into an MT COM DLL. Reproducible, after the compilation of the project I close VFP and open it up again and I'm told that foxuser.fpt is invalid or missing (it's deleted). I sometimes had this in VFP7 as well. But not reproducible, so I never knew where exactly the problems with the resource file were coming from.

I tried to reproduce this behaviour with a project I created from scratch, but couldn't get it to get to the same problem. I'll try to gather additional information on this topic, if I can narrow this down to any special circumstances.

Update 1: It happens when compiling to an EXE with a different project as well. Both projects share some common files. Sometimes I even get a C5 error while compiling from time to time. Foxcode.fpt is also deleted occasionally.

Update 2: The files are deleted when VFP quits. The same foxuser is accessible after the compile from another instance of VFP. What I tried so far: CleanUp project, packing all vcx, deleting all fxps, creating the EXE encrypted/not encrypted, deleting the EXE file (respectively the DLL, TLB, VBR). Foxuser is always affected, focode occasionally and foxtask occasionally as well.

Update 3: Ok, now I can steadily reproduce the behaviour in VFP7SP1 as well. This wasn't the case before. So this might not really be a VFP8 issue, but the symptoms seem to be worse in VFP8. In VFP7, only the foxuser seems to be affected. Maybe there's something wrong with one or more of my project files!? Any help apreciated.

VFP8 Public Beta on WinXP prof. SP1.

Did anyone experience similar problems?
