Sorry Jim, I should have explained that the revert completely removes the entire record - corrupted index included. As I told another gentleman who offered suggestions..."what makes it really annoying is that one year ago - almost to the day - I ran the same program, built on VFP5 (and all the various service packs), and it ran flawlessly with 68 users on the LAN.
I got around the 24 hour deadline by sticking an EXCEL worksheet with various formulas on a server, and gave every one the web address. It worked supprisingly well BUT it means that I have a MAJOR cleanup and catch up to do over the next 4 weeks. I have decided I am going to rebuild the whoile shebang as VFP web app (I hope!)
