Thanks for the reply Gerry.

Yes, I am using the textbox for data entry.

I am dynamically assigning the control source via DynamicCurrentControl property of the column. I was trying to assign the DynamicInputMask but it is only working when the CurrentControl is a textbox (Text1). If the CurrentControl is a container, the DynamicCurrentControl has no effect.

Visual Foxpro 7 documentation says:

If the control specified by the column's CurrentControl property is a text box, spinner, or combo box, the Format and InputMask portions of the DynamicInputMask expression are passed to the Format and InputMask properties for the text box, spinner, or combo box.

It doesn't mention anything about containers, but there is no Format and InputMask property on a container. I can't figure out how to apply the evaluated dynamicinputmask to the textbox within the container within the column.

What I'm trying to do is to dynamically assign the input mask to the textbox withing the container within the column for data entry purposes dependent upon a field of the current record. Whew, that was a mouthful..

Thanks
