>First, don't get me wrong. I'm not mad or anything like that. However, the heading at the top (and I just re-read it) mentions nothing about editing a wish.
Well, we don't have to get into such specific details. We have a good mention that some work is done on the content. We also released a news a while ago about it.
http://www.levelextreme.com/News/000021.asp>As I recall (and since I can't see my original post, I have to rely on my recollection), my wish was in an "and/or" mode. So from my POV, it was granted.
If a wish has been removed, as it without anything else, that's because it was either a bug entry, something that does not belong here or a wish that made it into the product. Otherwise, its data has been rearranged in some ways to fit better elsewhere. For yours, specifically, if you really want to know its status, you may email Vlad. Despite the fact that he spends a lot of hours per week to handle all that, and on a contribution basis (thanks a lot of that), he might remember having seen yours along the way. Remember that he read them all. That's 1000 entries where about 100 have been removed or adjusted. That's extensive work. And, also, each one requires several manipulations.
>My point wasn't the wish itself, but that I don't like getting credit when I don't deserve it (See MESSAGE#
730090).
As for any message posted, I haven't seen it, but the fact is that there is no direct link with the wish list. Whatever is posted here, this is something we have no control over its relation with the wish list.
>I'm not going to remove it at this time, however. Toledo is still being prepared for release and until it is, I think it's premature to try to determine what's going to be in the product and what isn't in some cases. An example of the is another report command clause. I'll pose you a question. Can we now (in 8.0) suppress the display of the printing dialog so that reports can be printed from an in-process server?
Well, it came from the top. So, if they requested that wishes that made the product be removed, it takes someone familiar with the product (the beta) to know about it in order to execute that task. The orders are to focus the wish list on the next version now. The beta version should not be linked to the wish list anymore. So, if he finds that your wish made it, he'd be removed. At first, I asked if someone from there team would do it. They are overloaded and can't assign a resource for that task. So, someone volunteered to do it. Also, Vlad already done some of that before and was happy to be involved in it.
