>The way we define time is rather self centered and is base on the earth having twenty-four time zones. As the earth make a 360 rotation each day, each of the time zone will be in the 12 period when that zone is directly facing the sun. Therefore the opposite side of the earth would be in the 12 period or midnight (24 time zone military). So time goes from 1 to 24. At 24.59 or 12.59 midnight you go to the 1 time zone or 1.00. This all become pretty irrelevant if you were removed from this solar system and place on the other side of the galacy. Beside, does time really even exit and if so what is it? Some of the mose fundamental forces are still not well understood like what is gravity, space/time relation, and what exist beyond the speed of light?

There are several places on the planet earth that are not directly facing the sun at all in a 24 hour period. I grew up in the northern part of Norway and we had not sun light for about 2 months out of the year, in the winter. We also had 24 hours of sun for a couple of months in the summer. This is due to the fact that the earth rotates at an angle.
I think A.Einstein said it best when he said that time is relative.
