Mark,

The exception code you mention is probably a fatal error. Often, if not always, a fatal error will simply cause the exit of FoxPro, bypassing your programmed error handlers.

Running executables on the server is not the best method. Is there a reason they must be on the server? it is better to have the VFP exe's installed on the clients and only have the data on the server. When you create an installation, you include the dll's required in the installation package and they get installed on the client machine(s). This is better for several reasons, most importantly to lower network traffic. I don't know this as a fact, but it may be possible that one or more of the dll's hit a limit of the number of instances or something like that.
