Hi John,

Lead tools has a few interesting tools.

If the scanner you need to access is WIA-compatible (most new scanners are), you could use WIA automation instead of the Kodak OCX's.

WIA isn't as flexible as the Kodak controls are, but it'll get you by... I did some experimenting with an HP 3500c Scanner and it worked well enough.

Good luck!

Alex

>As most of you are aware M$ has decided to remove Kodak Imaging OCX’s from XP. This of course has caused trouble for those who used Kodak to access scanners and cameras via twain. I have discovered that it might be possible to load the old Kodak files from a NT machine. However, I’m guessing that transferring files is a violation of license. So what is everyone doing to access twain from VFP on a XP machine? I did discover a DLL from “eztwain”. It’s free and with a little testing I have discovered that it works. But before I spend a lot of time creating “declare statements” (it was designed for C++) I was hoping someone knew a better way.
