I agree - What will I do with a WIA scanner when it shows up. I'm guessing that I can ask the OS if it has WIA scanner attached. Using someones OCX sounds just as bad as having to code for different OS's. I have make sure to register the OCX etc. That has not been easy in the past. My guess it is 6 of one and half dozen of the other. Sure wish someone comeup with a universal way of handling and type of imaging device.
