I live in the same county as Best Software. They are in St. Petersburg in a self-contained office building that I used to pass on the way to my mother's house every week. I bumped into a couple of guys that knew people that worked there. They are a VFP shop. I even pondered contacting them as various times, but I am too busy with another long-term contract for the past four years. I understand they are a good company to work for according to conversations I have had with people who have worked there or known people who have worked there. There building is your standard rectangular shaped 3 or 4 story glass and concrete office building located on Ninth Street (Dr. M.L. King Blvd.) around 94th Ave. North. That area of town is populated with many multi-unit condos and apartments. K-Mart is nearly across the street. Some other office buildings line the same street in that area. It's a quite part of town. Kind of a cross-roads of main roads, but not super busy main roads.

If I lived a little closer to them, I might have contacted them sooner, but for me it would be about a 15 mile drive through very heavy traffic with no freeways or expressways. That's the main reason I avoid applying for a job down there.
