>In the old days, this had to be done in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. In Novell, it does have to be done in the login script. Otherwise, any env variable set during a command session initiated after bootup/login gets released as soon as you exit the command session. I seem to recall there may have been a utility that would do this after bootup thought. What is is called or where you could get, I have no idea.
The problem is that the novell login script returns an incorrect mac address when using p_station and I was hoping to change the environment variable at runtime from VFP to the correct MAC address using a dll or something.
I know this isn't a good solution but changing all the code where the environment variable is used gives me a head ache just thinking about it.
I was hoping upgrading from Novell 3.12 to Novell 5.1 would fix this error because then I could push the upgrade.
