Editing the title of the whole thread? I know that UT is able to edit the title of the whole thread and will do so to correct certain misspellings or misleading words.
Or do you want to be able to edit the title of a branch of the thread? In that case, a modification of the forum and category should also be possible. In that way it's possible to have the following sequence:
1 Someone posts a question.
2 One or more people answer.
3 One or more people have doubts about aspects of an answer and start a discussion.
4 If the discussion becomes somewhat more complicated ('fundamental'), the Forum/Category/Title (FCT) are reconsidered. ( Proposal for the FC-part: VFP/Fundamental Discussions )
5 The discussion is continued in the other FCT. The backlink is kept intact.
