I will be interested in the responses you get as we are re-writing an app this year. Over 100 .dbf tables that we wrote our own replication process around to emulate client-server. Majority (90%) of our users use detached local data and that makes SQL Server overkill ( and frankly MSDE is too weak for us ), but the datasets our clients use are approaching being too large for .dbf tables in Fox. Codebase has no size limits, but we use a lot of dynamic table altering and run-time code to customize the database on a user by user basis. We are starting to look at Codebase but last time I talked with them ( a while back ) they were not pursuing .NET stuff very hard.
