yes, i am currently writing a large MRP system and yes i am working without dbc. Although it makes life easer with the points discused by the other, but when i had the dbc crash in my testing and only after some time got everything back to the way it was, i decided to look into other possibilities.

i found that CURSORSETPROP() can be used to buffer the free tables, you than can use TableUpdate() or TableRevert() with different parameters to achive the same as the Transactions are doing.

I do have to admit that i heard that the Transaction is supposed to be more 'secure', but that was about all i heard.
