FWIW, I've added my input to the Wine bug report related to the file locking problems. As this problem affects more than just Visual Foxpro (Access and Borland Database Engine at least) I believe that this will not be an issue for too much longer.

Also, that mouse issue I was talking about last week has been resolved with a patch by Duane Clark, a Wine developer. I've been experimenting with the VFP IDE under Linux all day now and while some interesting things happen (!), it does work. All VFP versions (5,6,7,8).
