Good idea but I always have that checked. Upon other testing and removing the database from the project, I discovered that it would compile in vfp6 but when ran, I got the same error when the exe tried to open the database. so, somewhere in the dbc there is a version defined that thinks it is vfp7 only. I can't find it, I hope someone knows
