It's "SET EVENTS ON" Checked?
>Good idea but I always have that checked. Upon other testing and removing the database from the project, I discovered that it would compile in vfp6 but when ran, I got the same error when the exe tried to open the database. so, somewhere in the dbc there is a version defined that thinks it is vfp7 only. I can't find it, I hope someone knows

>>>"File Created in a Later Version of VFP than the Current Version"
>>>The help says it is either an scx or the dbc. I can build the exe in vfp7 with no errors but it will not run in vfp6. I have other apps that don't have this behavior. What went wrong, where do I look in the dbc for mismatched version. I have no fear of hacking the scx's or the dbc, but can find nothing that would point to this problem.

>>Time ago, when I used to use VFP7 for development but had to still deliver in VFP6 (as many of us do now with VFP8b and VFP7), if I found that problem, I checked "Recompile All". Have you tried it?
