Yep, One of the first things I checked. I don't think the problem is obvious. Somewhere in the dbc there is a version defined between vfp6 and vfp7. How does the dbc know what it was built in?

>>Good idea but I always have that checked. Upon other testing and removing the database from the project, I discovered that it would compile in vfp6 but when ran, I got the same error when the exe tried to open the database. so, somewhere in the dbc there is a version defined that thinks it is vfp7 only. I can't find it, I hope someone knows

What went wrong, where do I look in the dbc for mismatched version. I have no fear of hacking the scx's or the dbc, but can find nothing that would point to this problem.
