If users are running their .exe from the network, you cannot update the .exe unless you have everyone get out of the program. That is a big pain. Using a launcher (I use Nick's from the download section), you can copy a new .exe over the one on the network at any time. When the user exits the app and goes back in the newer copy is copied to their hard drive, and run from there.
>Question: on a small network (10 users) , assuming a config file that puts tmpfiles and resource files local, is there any reason (besides initial load of app) why you can't have users run the EXE from the server? (I know this also works, just another best practices question)
