>If users are running their .exe from the network, you cannot update the .exe unless you have everyone get out of the program. That is a big pain. Using a launcher (I use Nick's from the download section), you can copy a new .exe over the one on the network at any time. When the user exits the app and goes back in the newer copy is copied to their hard drive, and run from there.

Hi Steve. The loader app idea can work by copying the exe to the local PC or by loading the appropiate exe on the server. The principle works in both cases. See message #737259 from Kevin Delaney which I think is a pretty neat solution.
