I have never run samba in a peer to peer network. I assume this is possible, but I don't know for sure. All of my experience with samba is within a Domain. At one time a least one Windows primary domain server was need to work with samba, since samba could not authenticate users into a Domain. Maybe someone that has setup a smaba file system in a peer to peer network will give us some help. How, it is possible to use your Linux computer to act as the Window's primary domain controller.
