Rich, thanks. I think that I have a sample of 'Declare' in a program that someone else wrote. I am going to kind of "wing it" and hope that the outcome is favorable.

My scanner is a Symbol. I work for a furniture rental company and the rental consultants are going to use these to scan all of the items that a client wants, then read it in the pc to prepare a quote and subsequent lease. It is called the Symbol Consumer, costs $250 and holds 300 scans. It has 2 buttons: scan and delete. Although it is really simple, it is perfect (I feel) for this application.
