Tom;

I live in the heart of Silicon Valley and we did not have wideband available until August of 2001! That somehow seems strange but such is life. By the way there is no other choice for wideband in our area. I think Craig had AT&T wideband several years before me.

When Excite.com was a part of AT&T wideband we would have at least one outage a week for about 4 hours. By the way Excite.com ran the server farm for AT&T wideband and was in Redwood City - about twenty miles north of me. Sometimes it would be three days of outage. When AT&T took over reliability went way up to the point I did not think about outages.

My wife pays the bills so I will ask her if she wants to pay your cable bill. For the amount they charge I do not think we will notice the difference - we just send them a blank endorsed check and they do the rest! :)

>We had a long outage last night.... probably due to the extreme cold. Extreme for US that is. It got down to about 10 degrees which is real cold fo us. I think our poor cable system could not handle it. LOL!

>Anyway... we are back going this morning... heck we have a heat wave going... it may get up to 35. :) Our "normal" temps for this time of year are about 55/35.

>Oh by the way... if you want... I can get our cable company to send you MY bill as well. < vbg >
