Len,
Here's an interesting observation. I've been rendering all of my HTML in a Web Browser ActiveX control that sits in a VFP form. By default, all controls take on the standard (boring) gray, 3-D effect.
If I open the same documents in IE, the controls lose their gray, 3-D effect and take on the Windows XP look and feel! Yes, they are still a little 3-D in appearance but it what I want.
Conclusion...the Web Browser ActiveX control does not behave the same as IE, at least not when I renders controls.
Mike.
>AFAIK, it's not possible in IE though it may work in NN6, though, as someone says in the first link below, I'd like to know if you do find a way. (With Mozilla 5.0 (M14), the border style changes to the flat style, but the dropdown button remains 3D, Opera 5 makes a complete mess - a flat border appears around the 3D border, it seems these effects are very much browser dependant)
