>I upgraded my Windwos ME to Windows XP home. Everything went well it seems. I do have one problem. The sound card no longer works or is recognized. Since I got the PC from Gateway, i down loaded the new driver and it seems to install but the sound still does not work. Is there something else i need to do to get it to work? It says the devide is working properly when I look at teh properties. I was also wondering if something was not installed when I installed Windows Xp home. Should I run the installation again?

I had experience to upgrade ME into XP for my client. The PC has SoundBlaster Live Value! I downloaded a driver for XP from Creative site. It's about 7Mb. All I can say about this driver is, it doesn't work. Than there is another one (newer) it's about 25Mb. This one works well. IIRC first I install liveware version 3, then install the latest one.
One comment I had about it is, the sound in XP is not as nice as in 9X/ME
