Hi John,
>Hi,
>I have enquiry from local vendor about Small Business server. However, they told me that, SBS should be called BackOffice SBS. Is it correct?
Microsoft Small Business Server is the correct product name, currently :-) Version 4.5 was indeed called BackOffice SBS.
>I also ask for the price of the BackOffice SBS and I found that it is more pexensive than Win2000 server. As mentioned in MS web site, SBS is designed for small business, then how come it is more expensive than Win2k server?
From
http://www.microsoft.com/sbserver/evaluation/overview/default.asp:It also includes SQL Server 2000, Exchange 2000 and other tidbits like modem sharing that add to the value off the product. If you don't need or want SQL Server or Exchange, stick with vanilla Win2k Server. SBS can be a bear to configure and requires a lot of horsepower.
