I do use views and can add a field

select *,(wtkgs * 2.2) as wtlbs ...

to the view. It just seems I should be able to use the more direct, unbounded textbox approach. Oh well not the first time to settle for something that works.

I have to do a similar thing to provide a display value for a combobox in a grid where the combobox is bound to a key field linked to another table. Man is that ever a mess.
