>I got a 'chuckle' out of your post. :o) I worked as a government civilian employee for many years (after leaving the military). After I finally left (June 2001) and took outside employment, I learned that the one person who was the joke of an office group (for never knowing anything, getting things wrong, etc) became the manager. Just figures... People who know nothing and don't want to learn are promoting the same... seen it too many times!

Tracy the shame of it all is that the system does not get any better. It sust becomes a better and better joke. I have learned to keep my blinders on and do the best job I can for whomever I work for. I feel that if I get my assignents done on or ahead of time and satisfy the customer, then I can go home holding my head up. I cant change the system, but at no time will I let a manager off the hook when I am asked my opinion. Which they have to do twice a year during my reviews.
