I have someone trying to run a FoxPro 1.01 Dos application on a XP PC. They have a shortcut on their desktop that points to a .BAT batch file on their drive. The batch file displays a message on their screen to let them know what to type to start the Fox application.

The Cmd Line textbox of the shortcut properties points to C:\Windows\System32\Command.com.
The Working directory points to c:\appdir\.
Then there is a Batch File textbox that they put the name of the .bat file into such as c:\appdir\menu.bat.

When the shortcut is clicked on, the DOS window appears and in the right directory but the menu.bat file never runs. They can type menu.bat at the dos prompt and that works but why doesn't the batch file run automatically?

Also, on XP PCs, how can we get the DOS window to appear full screen? When we try choosing full screen in the shortcut properties, the whole screen goes black and nothing appears on the screen. It's like the DOS window is too big for the screen.

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

Jerry
