I actually stood up and walked out one day without bothering to quit. I worked for a company years ago and my immediate supervisor had the habit of calling me quite 'nasty' names in front of everyone. First I tried one-on-one discussions, then I started the complaint process, and finally I just decided it was not worth the headache and walked out (this was actually after months of this). Funny, but they kept calling me to come back temporarily to help out with their network. Everytime they called I asked if my old boss was still working there and when they replied yes, I gave my apologies and declined.

>>>Let me say I have learned how to work within most systems of management and have positive impact or I look for another job when I see it is truly hopeless. Some environments will never change for the better. The often-used term “corporate culture” along with other such terms tend to make me ill.

>Another thing I insist upon doing before I have left any place of employment is to document and finish all work so it can be picked up by others. I like to feel comfortable with myself and what I do. I have worked with others who have stood up, quit and walked out.
