I started a similar thread a couple of days ago in the Troubleshooting category (Thread # 747977). The context of my error seems very similar to yours in that it happens when appending a large amount of data to a table residing on the server. I have the error happening in both Win2K/Win2K Server and WinNT/NT Server configurations. In my situation, the error always occurs with a CDX file. Do you see the same thing? Maybe we could compare notes as we look for a solution.

There are a number of MSKB articles that deal with this error. In every reference I've seen so far, the error is always either OS-related, network-related, or in one case tied to a virus scanner.

If you find a resolution to this issue, please let me know. I will do the same.
