Originally, I wrote up my Report Preview tool in pure VFP but was quickly limited by the 72 point Label Size when using labels for text to Zoom. Then I wrote it using VFP and calling the GDI API which then made the whole Report Engine a vector based system meaning unlimited zoom, but the problem there was the limitation of not getting WM_PAINT messages to catch and then know when to repaint the screen. That is why I then opted to write it as an ActiveX control.

Can you send me a copy of a VFP Report and it's final XLS spreadsheet to look at so I can see what you are really wanting to do for the output? That way I could get a better idea as to what you mean exactly for the output. How are you wanting to handle Page Headers, Group Headers, etc?
