Victor,

>Well how do I update the PJM file then?

To put new stuff into the PJM you pick the Update Project List, that should update the PJM inside VSS.

>Now if I goto workstation1, then from the main menu click Project, Source Control, Update Project List...and I get an error saying the 'project file was not found in source control' ??? geeeze now what? I can SEE the PJM file in source control...when I use this vfp project I SEE the locks and I check files in and out!!! Just what "project file" is this error talking about?

I'm not sure what those error messages are saying, are you sure you've not moved the project files on the local drive? The PJM/PJX/PJT should all be in the same folder on the local box and in the same dir that the PJM is in VSS. It might be a working folder issue too. I go to the highest level node in the VSS tree that I need for a project and set it there and let all of the subnodes/subdirs handle themseleves.

To get the latest PJM additions into the local project, I thought the Update Project List menu did this too, but it appears to only go from pjx to pjm inside VSS. I don't know if you have to rejoin a VSS project to get this (and frankly I'm a little scared to just try it because I don't want to screwup what's working on my machine right now *bg* I'll let you be the guinea pig *L*). I'd just add the files to the project by hand. You can do a get latest on the PJM from the VSS interface instead of the VFP interface, and then you could write a chunk of code that would look for the files in the PJM and your PJX to see what needs to be added into the PJX.

> Does the pjt and pjx files need to be in sourcesafe to do this?

No, they do not go into VSS, the PJM is the only "project" file under source control.
