What about rebuilding indexes in SQL server?
>In VFP, when you delete a record, the record stays in the table. However, in SQL Server, a deleted record is removed and cannot be recalled. Therefore, you wouldn't need to "pack" the tables like in VFP.

>>Thinking more outside of the box... the only reason I need unload the COM components, is so that I can do my monthly pack of the VFP tables. If I move from Fox to SQL Server, will I need to do a monthly reindex/pack? Yearly?

>>>I think this is still an unresolved problem. It would be nice if you could 'Unload' like you can with a VFP mtdll called from ASP ...
