Jim,

Thanks for the reply. There isn't any difference between the other
machines. They are new machines, bought at the same time, with the same specs. All installed with the same image/software.

I did check the device manager (where I found disabling in Win2k), but
your right it doesn't exist in win98, which is why I tried the bios.

I will check the NIC that is a good idea. Maybe there is some kind of
sleep mode or power saving feature enabled, that is causing the lockup.

The win98 server, is just really a common place for all the files and
foxpro data. They share their Word Docs, Excel Sheets, and the Foxpro
tables. At night the "server" does a backup and runs some reindexing
jobs. It doesn't run any jobs doing the day. Just serves files.

I really appreciate your suggestions and ideas.
