Having used MsComm32 for many years, with often flaky results, I searched for and found a control called commx, from a company called Greenleaf
www.Greenleaf.Software.com $199US. Works well, easy to setup and comes with an excellent support with 9 VFP example projects. I will never use MSCOMM32 again. I have been able to configure 6 comports simultaneously, send to all at once and receive accurate results every time.
