>Kinda hard for them to do given that they have no members here (Iraqi). But I don't doubt that they are muzzled by fear anyway. It's getting that way real fast in the U.S. too, by the way, though of course it is detention and court action instead of murder/torture.
>I meant to add... so what if it was a terrible mistake. Once you've done it once you will do it again.

Hardly.

>I said "excellent chance" and "be a chance", so I was NOT accusing anyone. But this may give you some idea: "1980-88: Iran-Iraq war. When Iraq invades Iran, the U.S. opposes any Security Council action to condemn the invasion. U.S. soon removes Iraq from its list of nations supporting terrorism and allows U.S. arms to be transferred to Iraq. At the same time, U.S. lets Israel provide arms to Iran and in 1985 U.S. provides arms directly (though secretly) to Iran. U.S. provides intelligence information to Iraq. Iraq uses chemical weapons in 1984; U.S. restores diplomatic relations with Iraq. 1987 U.S. sends its navy into the Persian Gulf, taking Iraq's side; an overly-aggressive U.S. ship shoots down an Iranian civilian airliner, killing 290." from http://www.geocities.com/catcruz/USMiddleEastHistory.html

Are you serious? You point me to that site, titled:

and they have nothing to back it up? Give me a break. When you find a legitimate news source, let me know. Otherwise, don't waste my time.

>And you say you don't see any difference at all between Hilter taking one country after another and holding them while diplomats dithered compared to some FAILED actions by Saddam 12 years ago and 23 years ago??? Your mind works in mysterious ways, Chris.

Yes, the difference is that the world has learned since the 1930s. At least some of us have. Hitler got away with it, at least for a while. We are not going to let Saddam.

>Right... the troops are amassed across from Detriot and Seattle and El Paso and San Diego. Oh, wait a minute, EVERYone's border who you choose is also your border. Pardon me, I wasn't aware of this new world order.

That's just it Jim, they didn't even have to have troops on our border to attack us. And that's the case Bush has been making ever since.
