It goes on and on and on and on, on and on and on and on, on and on and on and on and on (as the song says)....

>>Clearly, by pushing the U.N. into irrelevance as he has, your President agrees with you.
>
>It is amazing how you blame so much on the U.S. If the U.N. is irrelevant, whose fault is that? It's nobody's fault but the U.N.
>
>>The basis of the U.N. and of "diplomacy" generally is listening and accommodation - to develop a "win-win" in the parlance of today.
>
>But what you fail, and apparently the U.N. fails, to understand is that some people do not understand dimplomacy. Do you not get this? Did diplomacy keep Iraq from invading Iran in 1980. Did dimplomacy keep Iraq from invading Kuwait in 1991? Did diplomacy get Iraq out of Kuwait? Saddam understands one and only one thing: force.

With the mistaken help of the U.S. Iraq and Iran fought a war for 8 years and at the end their borders remained unchanged (tiny differences, apparently).
In 1991 Iraq was push back out of Kuwait and is back at the original borders again.
In 2003, Iraq has NOT VETURED OUTSIDE OF ITS BORDERS FOR OVER 12 YEARS. In 2003 Iraq has NO KNOWN TIES to Al-Quaida or to global terrorism, though lord knows every snake has been examined minutely to find a scent of connection.
Acknowledging that Saddam is EVIL and that Saddam ONLY UNDERSTANDS FORCE, what is the basis, again, for warring with him... that he probably has WMD. IS it really uncountenanceable that inspectors could be left to roam Iraq forever if that keeps the WMDs that he PROBABLY has buried in the sands??? WHY war without provocation?????

>>You feel BIG enough as a country that you can take care of anything you want/need all by yourselves. And, frankly, I have no doubt that you can for a while yet. But this could well result in the implementation of TracyH's "Solution" from the outside, by embargoing and ignoring and otherwise learning to live without the U.S.'s money.
>
>Feel free to do that. Like I posted earlier - To all those countries who don't want our aid: Can we have it back?
I left it the first time, assuming that you hadn't really thought it through. But when you do start getting it back it will include:
- vacating all the military bases that you use to monitor the world;
- vacating all the factories where U.S. corporations exploit workers and the environment so us "haves" can have fancy sneakers and cheap clothes and cheap toys and...
- other similar things...
... and when the bill is added up for repatriating all this stuff to reasonable state the few dollars left will be sent back.

BULLYING is always profitable and fun, until the bullied decide that enough is enough.
