Not necessarily, I believe the point that Jim, and whoever rated it that way, were trying to make, is that putting any effort into a demo would take the team's limited resources away from the development of the full product, which of course would hurt the final product, therefore the demo is something they oppose to.
In my opinion, it would definetly be a good thing to have, why?, because that would attract new developers, which in turn would make the product more profitable for Microsoft, and one would assume that would result in more resources for the VFP team.
But of course, this will only happen if MS is interested in the growth of VFP, which apparently is not the case, I suppose they want to maintain the user base but that's all.
