Jorge,

You do restate the apparent "case" for rating "Disagree...".

But that is what I want to challenge.

If I saw a Wish in the list that said something like: 'Please replace USE, USE IN and USE..." with CLOSE, CLOSE and OPEN because the present words are simply stupid and misleading', then I would have no problem rating it a big fat Disagree...

But I can't see that at all for the wish for a demo version of VFP.
Hell, I already know much of the product, so it won't help me AT ALL! Does that mean I should rate it Disagree...?
Now when it comes to 'saving the VFP Team's limited resources for stuff I can use more' then why is this a sensible reason to rate it Disagree... when there is a "Helpful - not a big issue for me"?
The latter communicates, as I see it, that there are other things I'd rather have the VFP Team work on while the former simply communicates 'its a bad idea and I am opposed'. I wonder, if there were known to be unlimited resources available, if anyone could rate Disagree for a demo version. If anyone did I'd say to myself that they are quite self-centered and have little regard for the community and its future growth.

cheers

>Not necessarily, I believe the point that Jim, and whoever rated it that way, were trying to make, is that putting any effort into a demo would take the team's limited resources away from the development of the full product, which of course would hurt the final product, therefore the demo is something they oppose to.

>In my opinion, it would definetly be a good thing to have, why?, because that would attract new developers, which in turn would make the product more profitable for Microsoft, and one would assume that would result in more resources for the VFP team.
>
>But of course, this will only happen if MS is interested in the growth of VFP, which apparently is not the case, I suppose they want to maintain the user base but that's all.
