How would they publicize this? A press release? It wouldn't exactly make the front page of the paper :)

Apparently the intent of the EULA has not changed, it was just clarified. The previous EULA did appear to allow a user to use both versions concurrently. And when VFP7 came out, there was continuous encouragement to UPGRADE to VFP7, and I believe there was also information MS folks saying that VFP7 and prior versions work fine on the same machine, as long as they are installed in different folders. I think some of the folks at MS didn't understand the previous EULA.
